Hello Friends,
Happy Monday. Hope you all had a nice weekend!
I've tried posting something on this here blog, about a thousand times today..but all I've been able to come up with is gobbilty-gook. Kind of like how this post is shaping up! Oh well, sometimes me old brain needs a break. That's when I turn to Tetris! (click on the link and scroll down to play.)
Hopefully I can formulate a paragraph or two tomorrow. There is a heck of a lot of stuff going on that I should be writing about.

Hello Friends. I hope you're all having a good week.
I thought that I would show you guys a sneak peek of the new series I'm painting for the art fair in Santa Barbara next week. Hooray! This piece is definitely inspired by Santa Barbara. It's one of my favorite places to visit and I'm really looking forward to being a part of the festival.
Hopefully I will have a little time to rub my feet in the sand and take a swim in the chilly salty waves...

Happy Monday!
Here's another sneak peek of a painting I've made for the art festival in Santa Barbara. Hurrah!
I'm sure I will have plenty of stories and good things to talk about very soon, but right now I'm stinky and tired.
At the moment, I am sleepily and wearily sitting in the living room, waiting for UPS to pick up stacks of paintings and take them away to Santa Barbara. No amount of coffee or tea can save me at this point, and patterns are starting to form on the wall. Soon, a shower and a nappy.
In the meantime, I'll leave you with something fun to watch. You guys have probably already seen this, but incase you haven't..isn't this guy inspiring?

Pushing Product Fall '06 from Insound.
Hurrah! I am really excited about this cd from Insound! The artwork was done by yours truly, and it's available now. Yipee!
I think my favorite song on there is by Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, and is called "Oregon Girl" . Ok..I'm a little partial to anything with the word Oregon in it, but it's still a fun song.
I'm taking off tomorrow for Santa Barbara! I'll be updating when I can, I'll have ye olde computer with me.
See you soon baboons!

Hello Friends, happy Monday!
I’m here in beautiful Santa Barbara, soaking in some sun after a busy and awesome-o weekend at the Santa Barbara Festival of Art.
I flew into town on Thursday, and immediately went to a party/art reception that my sister had planned, in a breathtakingly beautiful house in the rolling hills. It was a very heart warming and lovely event. We put all of the paintings that I had brought with me, around the house. They looked right at home against the stone fireplace, surrounded by millions of little votive candles. We drank wine, ate grilled salmon and squash soup and chatted with friends, and friends of friends, until the candles burned down. It was a really perfect introduction to the long arty weekend.
The second day, I spent most of it loading in to the event site and setting up. I’ve never been to an event that went into the evening, so setting up the lighting was a new thing for me. Luckily, my sister and brother-in-law have an arsenal of beautiful twinkle lights and beeswax candles that I brought with me. The effect was very warm and cozy, and seemed to suite the paintings just fine.
Saturday and Sunday are a little bit of a blur They were long days, and I spent most of it chatting with folks at the festival, eating corn on a stick, and sipping coffee. More about the fair and my neighbors once I get home and organized…
I am busily sifting through images and getting them ready to put up on the site. There are still a few pieces available from the fair, and I’m excited to show them all to you. I’m heading back to Portland tomorrow…so the new stuff should be up in the next few days. Hurrah!
