Here is an olden days picture of my Dad, taken the year I was born. I love this picture because of the trees in the background, the fabulous thinking look my Dad has, and because of the infamous lamb chops that he is (of course), sporting. I love you Dad! High fives to all the fantastico fathers today.

new news

It’s officially summer here in Brooklyn land.  The plants in the garden are going nuts, growing like crazy like they always seem to this time of year. I love the smell of the hose water on tomato plants in the evening. Something about it feels very nostalgic and important, like the world is as it should be.

Life in general feels like that more and more lately. Little projects and big projects I’ve been hatching out for a long time now, are starting to grow and feel complete. New vines are creeping in through the windows too.

First off, Wendy and I went to the Renegade Craft Fair last weekend, and had an incredible time. We saw so many crafty ladies and it has inspired me so much. I’m ready to tackle the old pile of felt and fabric I’ve been lugging around for years, and make something crafty!

Secondly, I have been invited to participate in Tiny Showcase, an online gallery that sells limited edition prints (teeny ones, about 5”x 5”) of artists work. I am really excited to be a part of this great project. Will let you know the details as they unfold.

Lastly, I will be having a painting show at Last Exit in the near future. The Song Series will be up, along with a few others added to the series that are not on the site. Paintings will be for sale, so I will keep you posted about the opening date of the show and how long it’s going to run and all that, as soon as I know.
