This week’s Illustration Friday is a picture of my great aunt Margo and my late, great uncle Louis. It seems like the hardest part about aging, is living on, when those you loved the most, aren’t here anymore.

Well friends, the art is up at Last Exit. There is going to be an opening-ish thing on Thursday night, and I would love to see you there. Last Exit is a lot of fun, with beers in buckets and super nice folks behind the bar and not behind the bar. It should be a great time.

 

So many friends in this world. doing so many cool things. So many cool things in fact, that I thought I would break into list-mode to get a handle on some of it....

 

1. My friend Wendy did a great blog series about the painting studio where we work.

2. The friendly folks at Temporary Residence, have overhauled their website! You can now order awesome music from the many bands that grace their label, with just a click or two.

3. The Pages are on tour, making the rounds this week, hopefully coming to a town near you.

4. I have re-stumbled on Courtney's art and I'm so glad. Her work cracks me up and inspires me in one fell swoop.

5. I don't know this guy, but dang, is that art awesome.

 

That's all of the list that I can squeeze out at the moment. But there's more. Oh yes.

It’s funny how being sick with food poisoning can be like some kind of accidental vision quest, especially during a heat wave in an un-air-conditioned Brooklyn apartment.

Ahh..such was my weekend. Complete with a hunger induced hallucination of a banana scooting across the counter.

I’m off to Oregon for a fantastico and much needed vacation! Hoorah! I plan to swim in some rivers, eat some blackberries and recharge my human battery. I mean, humans don’t have batteries. What am I saying? I’m certainly not a robot like human with a battery. Heh, that would be, um, absurd.
