pete's candy store! November 20, 2005

ahhh the cd release was awesome! Thanks to everyone who came out. Candy was eaten, fancy drinks were sipped, beers were guzzled, feet were stomped, humans were hugged, and cds were released into the wild like little homesick turkeys.

It was a full house in there and a such a great, and cozy, warm, place to play. Thank you, thank you, thank you, to everyone who made last night so incredibly special!!

Wendy has turned me onto flickr, so I have posted more pictures of the night taken by Wendy and Gabe. There are more to come, but you can get a feel for the night with these photos right here....

new paintings November 13, 2005

Hello plaid panthers,

New paintings are in the works, ghostly ones and underwater ones and all kinds in between. A whole new batch of paintings are going up at Last Exit next Sunday. I will put them up on the site next Sunday too. Yay technology! Thank you to all of the nice folks who bought paintings and made space for new ones to hatch little baby paintings. You are all near and dear to me. And thank you to Julie at Last Exit who has been kind enough to extend the show.

oly wa November 11, 2005

Hola burritos,

I just found out that I'm going be interviewed on the Radio Kaos show 'Humpday Hoedown" in Olympia, WA. They're going to be talking to me about my ukulele album, "No Guts No Gravy" on Wednesday at 3:15 west coast, 6:15 east coast time. You can hear the interview live at Kaos Radio.

Sweet!

the best day of the year November 08, 2005

I love the New York City marathon with all of my being. It's a big dream of mine to run it, but mainly I'm happy cheering people on. This year was as great as any other. So inspiring. I cheered my guts out. We took loads of pictures that I will post up here soon.

Marathon day, shines like no other day!!

topple and crush! November 04, 2005

I'm not sure you can tell what this picture is but it's something I see a lot. Dirty, dirty painty buckets, growing into slimy sky scrapers of more painty buckets. Calling to me....Jooohhhhannna, wash me before I topple and crush all humans in my path...

It's very busy at work. Which means that I have spent the last two weeks painting fake wood grain, (with others..) over and over and over again. Infact, I'm working through the weekend and getting some kind of bulky painty muscle in my left arm.

Soon, I will re-join human kind and use my freakish strength for, um, good.

dear deer October 31, 2005

Thanks to everyone I met at Last Exit this weekend, those that were picking up paintings, and all of the friendly folks inbetween. It was great to meet everyone.

Hope everyone enjoyed the best holiday of the year. My costume was not as big and cumbersome as hoped, but it was very pokey and dangerous, which should count for something. Antlers + crowded bar = nope ....

Yes. Good. Good band, good humans. Good tea and coffee drinkers. Good Yacht Rock watchers. Michael Columbia is playing again on Sunday here in Williamsburg at North Six

Hello friends,

I am on an updating rampage! Computers are good and friendly sometimes. I have just updated the music page. Folks have been asking how to pre-order the "No Guts, No Gravy" album, and now you can, right here. They will be shipped on the release date, November 15th. Go-go ukulele!

out with the old October 22, 2005

Sweeping out the computer corners here this weekend...I just updated my illustration page, at long last. You may, or may not have seen these images floating around on main page at one time or another. Now they are safe and sound on the artwork page, where they belong.

Now, time to make pumpkin bread!!
