Well, I'm still on vacation here in Oregon-land. I'm due back in Brooklyn the middle of next week. I have been happily saturated with trees and family around here...along with typical Oregon adventures, including but not limited to:
1. A wizard handing out "magic rocks" at the health food store by my parents' house, dressed in an elaborate costume that looked suspiciously like an old graduation gown from my high school.
2. Eating at a place called the Pizza Research Institute. And boy did we do some research. Oh yes.
3. Swimming in a stubby river with my clothes on. Sometimes, I can't decide to get in or not, and then, I just do.
4. Getting home-made jam from just about everyone I see. (YES!!)
5. Watching the local news and seeing, WHAT TO DO WITH EXCESS FRUIT; HOW TO MAKE FRUIT LEATHER, as top story of the evening.

Fruit leather! Nice.
How's the magic rock working for you?
Just a heads up for your return - fashion week is in sept & we have three designers so far...but the weather is nicer!
