knit-a-thon September 01, 2005
Ahh, Oregon land. Such a nice visit. I kissed my niece and nephew as much as an auntie can get away with and had an overall, fantastico time. I spent one day and night with some great old friends in Eugene, where Kusi (who doesn’t have a website, but should, because she has knitting fingers that are absolutely SMOKIN..) gave us all knitting lessons over mojitos . I have to say that my fingers and brain didn't always cooperate and i ended up with a tangled, knotted mass of orange yarn. Could have been a side effect of the fancy drinks… but it didn’t damper my enthusiasm for joining the world of knitting, Hurrah!
Meanwhile, back in Brooklyn, our sweet little apartment was broken into and robbed while we were away. Sad. And creepy. I'm feeling very jumpy in here at the moment. But of course things could have been worse, and atleast the kitty is safe and sound, sneezing all over the windows as if nothing has changed...

I am so sorry about your apartment - warm wishes. Not the way you want to come back from vacation!!
