new weirdness August 14, 2009

I had a serious marathon painting session this week (pictured above) and just got a kaboodle of the new weird paintings together to send to Brooklyn for a little show. Yikes! I'm so thrilled that they are going out into the world, with just a tad of nervousness sprinkled in there. I've never made art for (gulp) grown-ups, or at least art that wasn't directed at kids, and I feel totally at a loss of how they will be received. I'll post some pictures on Monday.

Now there's just enough time to clean up the studio and dote over pictures of Jim and Laini's amazing new baby, Clementine Pie (!!!), before Gabe and I head out for a weekend at the beach.
